The Goddess Aurora: This poem is concerned with one man's vision of the mythological as he witnesses the appearance of Aurora, the Roman goddess of the dawn. All that the man beholds is vivid, fantastical and coloured with extraordinary beauty within the landscape of his vision: where the mythological and spiritual world briefly becomes superimposed upon the beauty of the real world. This poem is made up of four-lined stanzas, and is to be read like a story.
Beauty Will Save The World: This poem is about how people perceive beauty and how they can be inspired and transformed inwardly as a response to it.
Thoughts On Mortality: This poem was written not long after I was hit by a car and knocked off my bike whilst cycling home on 19th January 2010. The incident (which was entirely the driver's fault) made me reflect on how the normal routines of daily life, which are sometimes taken for granted, can suddenly change in an instant, without warning.
Talking About Art and Poetry: This poem was inspired after a conversation about Pre-Raphaelite art and the literary works of the poet, Dante.
