Art Course: Block of four private art lessons
Learn how to paint a professional-looking coastal painting in four easy lessons
Flexible dates to suit your requirements; you can choose to attend weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or quarterly; just email me to arrange a convenient date that works best with you and make your booking. All four lessons must be taken within a year of starting. This course is a relaxing and friendly experience learning art in a professional artist's studio located near the picturesque harbour at Ilfracombe, North Devon. I have plenty to offer on my art classes. The course takes place at my private art studio, at St. James Place, near Ilfracombe harbour - directions to the studio will be provided when you have booked your course. Each course lesson lasts two hours. Class time: 10:30am to 12:30pm.
Features
Lesson 1: Begin with the preparation, canvas, brushes, selecting paints, etc., and create the underpainting.
Lesson 2: Apply an additional layer to the underpainting and begin defining the main subject in the composition.
Lesson 3: Add greater definition and details and paint highlights to specific areas on the painting.
Lesson 4: Apply glazes. Receive advice on when and how to varnish the painting.
Price
The price is £200 for 4 lessons (£50 per lesson). Each lesson is 2 hours long. Class times: 10:30am to 12:30pm. You can choose your painting medium: acrylic or oil.

You can book for one person, two or three people when making your payment. All payments are transacted and securely processed by PayPal. You must be over eighteen years of age to attend an art class.
Accessibility
The studio is located near to the stunning harbour on the first floor of a lovely old building in Ilfracombe and access to it is by two flights of stairs. There is a stair rail, but unfortunately there is no lift access or wheelchair access. Regrettably, due to the age of the building I cannot offer disabled facilities. Due to the practicalities of the class routine and the studio environment, I am unable to allow pets on the premises, or allow friends, children and family members to accompany you on the class. There is also a no-smoking policy in the building. Thank you for your understanding.
