Artist Masterclass – Full Day Art Session
What are the benefits of this class?
Private one-to-one tuition. Flexible dates to suit your requirements; just email me to arrange a convenient date that works best with you and make your booking, it’s as simple as that. You will be learning in a professional artist studio equipped with an easel and comfortable seating; all art materials and refreshments will be provided, so there’s nothing you need to bring; you will receive one-to-one art tuition from a professional coastal and marine artist. The masterclass takes place at my private art studio, at St. James Place, near Ilfracombe harbour - directions to the studio will be provided when you have booked your class. Class duration is six hours. Class time: 10am to 4pm.
What is featured in the Masterclass?
You will produce a painting using professional artists’ acrylic paints. Other features include all or some of the following: discussing composition, depth of field, the Fibonacci ratio, learning about different painting mediums, preparing a panel or canvas with gesso, applying a coloured ground and the right choice of colour ground for the subject matter, producing an underpainting, glazing, varnishing a painting, defining water and waves, clouds, useful tips, how to paint realistic ocean wave spray, using masking tape, keeping acrylic paints usable for long periods.
Price
The price is £140 for the six hour Masterclass lesson. You can choose your painting medium: acrylic or oil.

Remember: before making your payment, please check availability with me first by email and make your reservation prior to making any payment. You can book for one person, two or three people when making your payment. All payments are transacted and securely processed by PayPal. Age
You must be over eighteen years of age to attend an art class.
Accessibility
The studio is located near to the stunning harbour on the first floor of a lovely old building in Ilfracombe and access to it is by two flights of stairs. There is a stair rail, but unfortunately there is no lift access or wheelchair access. Regrettably, due to the age of the building I cannot offer disabled facilities. Due to the practicalities of the class routine and the studio environment, I am unable to allow pets on the premises, or allow friends, children and family members to accompany you on the class. There is also a no-smoking policy in the building. Thank you for your understanding.
Once you have made your payment, directions to the studio will be provided to you by email.
