How to Order Your Painting

Ordering is easy. Simply email me and let me know which painting you wish to purchase and I will send you an invoice so you can make your payment. Please supply your full name, address and delivery address (if it is different from your home address) and phone number — these details will have to go on the invoice.

PLEASE NOTE: I mostly sell my art to customers with a valid delivery address within the United Kingdom, so my delivery costs are calculated for UK customers.

For International customers, please email me first at: info@markwoollacott.com for an independent quote on what the exact shipping costs will be from the UK to your international delivery address - which must be a valid residential address and not a commercial address.

IMPORTANT: International customers will also be fully liable and responsible for paying any customs duties, tariffs and taxes when the parcel arrives in their country. Please make sure you pay this or the parcel will not be delivered to you after it passes through customs.

Once you have made your payment, I will send you an email confirming your payment. Your order will be processed and the painting will be carefully packaged and mailed to you within the time period stated on the "Paintings for Sale" page. All UK orders are packaged and delivered (using a tracking service) within 14 working days; international orders may take slightly longer due to customs checks. All artworks ordered will have to be signed for on receipt of delivery. A tracking reference number will be supplied to you, so you will be able to track the parcel on the courier's website while it is on its way to you.

Please note: I do not offer a picture framing service and cannot provide a frame for any unframed painting you order from me.

Keeping You Informed Throughout the Whole Process

I will email you to inform you when I have received your payment and will email you again when I have mailed the painting to you and will provide you with an estimated delivery date and a delivery tracking reference number, so you will be able to track the painting on the courier's website. Please bear in mind that, as an independent, full time professional artist, I am busy working in my studio during the day, or I may be out giving an artist's talk, organizing an art workshop somewhere, attending an important exhibition, or out delivering artworks to art galleries, so I may not always be able to email you immediately after you place your order. If you don't hear anything straight away from me, please be assured I will get back to you as soon as I am able to check my email notifications; which is usually within 24 hours of receiving any notifications.

Delivery Information

All of my paintings are packaged securely and all contents are photographed and documented during the packing process. Artworks are mailed to UK customers using the Royal Mail or Parcelforce Express delivery tracking postal service. For International orders, I use Parcelforce Worldwide Global Priority tracking Service.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION for all customers: please include either your landline telephone number (and its area code) or your mobile number, as well as your full name, address and postcode. The shipping courier will require this information from me; without it they will not allow me to send the parcel.

All UK orders are packaged and delivered (using a tracking service) within fourteen working days; international orders may take slightly longer due to customs checks. Any painting ordered will have to be signed for on receipt of delivery. All paintings are tracked and mailed from within the United Kingdom. If the painting should be lost or damaged in transit, please let me know promptly, by email, at: info@markwoollacott.com.

Note: To avoid any potential confusion in communication, all email correspondence between any buyer and markwoollacott.com, must be typed in English and not in any other language. If you are using an online-based program to translate any text, you must ensure that the translation is accurate. Thank you.

IMPORTANT! Please do not use a PO Box address as your delivery address, as parcels cannot always be accepted when they are delivered to such an address, and consequently you may not receive the parcel if the delivery office (where your PO box address is located) decides not to accept it and instead asks the courier to return the parcel. I cannot mail any artworks to PO Box addresses. Please use your full home address instead.

Cancellations and Returns

You can cancel your order within fourteen days of receiving your painting, but you must contact me by email (at: info@markwoollacott.com) within those fourteen days in order for a full refund to be processed. Once you have informed me that you want to return the painting, you then have up to fourteen days in which you must return the painting to me in its packaging (at a UK delivery address that I will supply for you by email).

You must return the painting and its certificate of authenticity to me at your own expense, which must be packaged using the original packaging to completely protect the painting against damage in transit. Once I have received the painting in its original, undamaged condition, I will refund you within fourteen days of the date I received the returned painting.

You don’t have to provide a reason as to why you wish to cancel the order, but it would prove helpful if you could give me a brief description, as I am always ready to provide helpful support in order to achieve the best possible service I can to you as an independent artist. In buying a painting from this website, you are entering into a contact in which you are paying for goods (a painting) from me, the seller.

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within the fourteen day cooling-off period. After owning the painting for more than fourteen days, you can no longer return the painting or request a refund.

Invest in art and buy direct from the artist. Buy high quality paintings from a professional artist.

Some comments...

Mr J Ballantyne

The attention to detail was incredible!

Mike and Jo

Absolutely as we wanted it. Beautifully researched and executed. A wonderful painting!

J Hockin

I feel most privileged and honoured that you would so kindly do this for me … thank you!

Mike and Helen

The Friars Crag painting now hangs in pride of place in our front room. I do not lie when I say that whenever I look at it I will get great pleasure knowing that it has become a reality through a daughter's love and painted by an artist that has painted it with such feeling and skill.

Snowdonia and Hiker

2nd February 2015

Helping to Raise Funds for the Prince's Trust

A View From the Watkin Path, Snowdonia (also known as Snowdonia and Hiker) was recently sold for £750.00 during a silent auction held at The Prince’s Trust and EMC Leadership Dinner, the London Hilton, Park Lane, on Thursday 29th January 2015. I was delighted that the sale of one of my paintings (an acrylic, size: 12 x 12 inches) helped to raise some funds for the Trust. This opportunity was possible due to Echo Beach Gallery, artist Darren Baker and the Prince's Trust.

Lucky Cat Sivota, Greece — Painting Commission

I really enjoyed painting this particular commission, which was based on a superb reference photograph supplied by the client. Sivota is such a picturesque setting for sailors, and I can understand why people visit the place. In this commission, I was asked to paint a scene which not only incorporated the yacht, Lucky Cat, and the beauty of the harbour as dusk approached, but also to paint the whole scene with a degree of realism. Painting info: Acrylic on canvas. Canvas dimensions: 24 x 22 inches.

The Rescue

3rd August 2014

The Rescue — Painting Commission

This painting, entitled The Rescue, is based on an original detailed sketch (drawn in 1990 by sailor Mr J Ballantyne) of a real-life rescue that took place off Berry Head quarry, Devon, on 10th September, 1989, featuring the rescue of a dismasted Beneteau Double First 32S5 by the Brixham-based, Arun-class lifeboat, The Edward Bridges. The painting features two additional yachts, Papillion (which Mr J Ballantyne was onboard) and Sigmagnifique. Painting info: Acrylic on canvas. Canvas dimensions: 16 x 24 inches. Available as a print.
