Ordering is easy. Simply email me and let me know which painting you wish to purchase and I will send you an invoice so you can make your payment. Please supply your full name, address and delivery address (if it is different from your home address) and phone number — these details will have to go on the invoice.
PLEASE NOTE: I mostly sell my art to customers with a valid delivery address within the United Kingdom, so my delivery costs are calculated for UK customers.
For International customers, please email me first at: info@markwoollacott.com for an independent quote on what the exact shipping costs will be from the UK to your international delivery address - which must be a valid residential address and not a commercial address.

Discover one of my most treasured maritime fine art originals — Thalia. This classic Victorian yacht painting, depicted racing during The Island Sailing Club's annual Round The Island Race, is an artwork of realism and elegance. Over 115 hours work was involved in the creation of this large maritime painting. I was inspired to paint Thalia after seeing a photograph of her racing at the 2013 Round the Island Race. Ideally, I would love the painting of Thalia to remain in the UK. This boat was built in the UK and I am quite sentimental about that aspect of our maritime heritage. I think it only fitting that this artwork remains in the UK. I have had the painting displayed on my walls, at home, and have enjoyed it for many years. But now I am happy to let her go to another British home, where someone else can now enjoy and appreciate my artistic depiction of this famous boat.

This painting is based on a reference photograph which I took on Thursday 16th May 2013. An hour before I took this photograph, the sky had been filled with grey cloud and the scene had been quite overcast; but by 7:00 p.m. the cloud had begun to break up and to disperse in places, revealing a beautiful evening sky filled with a soft warm light. I took the photo a short distance from the London Eye, looking toward Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament; with Westminster Abbey and the Methodist Central Hall behind, and Portcullis House to the right of Parliament. On this trip to London, I was privileged to be invited to the Victoria Tower, where the Parliamentary archives are kept and maintained and was given a tour of parts of the Houses of Parliament and show some of the rare artworks that are on display.
This painting took three months to complete. Every detail is accurate. Many hours were spent in applying fine paint layering and careful brushwork when depicting the ornate details of the Houses of Parliament. This painting has been professionally framed and expertly hand finished by a leading UK Trade Guild picture framer.
