You may notice as you read the book that I sometimes use words like Divine, Eternal, Source, or Creator with a capital letter. For me, these are all different ways of pointing to the same reality: God, who is Love itself — the very heart of Heaven. And when I write 'divine' in lowercase, I mean the wholeness of divinity, in its vastness and pleasant mystery.
To know divine love directly, through your own experience, may happen quickly or may take time. It depends only on your readiness, and your willingness to open. My words here are not meant to be the destination — they are simply a way to help turn your heart and your mind toward the divine. Even that small turning, even just thinking more often about the divine, is enough to begin preparing you for a deeper experience.
I write only from my own journey — from moments of grace that I've been blessed to experience, from my personal reflections, and from the countless contemplations that have stirred my heart. Above all, I write because of my love for the divine, and I believe that love is the best place for anyone to begin.
There are many paths to God, many doorways into the experience of your true Self — the divine Self, the Christ within, as some call it. Through that Self, you will come to know God in the way countless blessed souls of the past once did. And I believe, with all my heart, that you too are already blessed. The path is already prepared for you, though you may not yet realize it. You will walk it — because you are never truly alone. You have always had help, guidance, and encouragement close by. The divine has always been with you, waiting for you, ready to show you the way, even in your lowest moments. Some of us listen sooner, and some of us take more time. But in the end, all of us will turn toward that love. It is only a matter of timing. One day, you too will want to listen.

How The Book Came to Be
It was a quiet Monday in late October, 2021, when an idea arrived. The thought was simple but luminous: to write a book that would awaken its readers — myself included — to the truth that we are divine, inseparably connected to the Source from which we come. The idea stirred something deep in me, and though I did not yet know how it would unfold, I sensed it was to be a work born of inspiration, not effort. Each word, I hoped, would carry the touch of the divine.
In the days that followed, I found myself drawn to the stillness of the evenings. I would pace gently around the lounge, as though the rhythm of my footsteps opened a door to silence, and in that silence, inspiration would often come. Thoughts of the divine would gather like whispers of light, and I began to fill the pages of a small notebook with words that felt more given than written. A few days later, I returned to this quiet ritual, and once again, the flow of insight came.
Inspiration Arrives...
One evening in early November, the inspiration came with particular clarity. As I walked slowly in the room, peacefully, the thought arose: 'God is always loving'. Those words echoed through me, ringing true in every particle of my being. I knew at once that this was the essence of what I needed to write.
I sat down on the sofa, notebook in hand, ready to begin, yet I hesitated and thought I would wait a while before writing anything down. Perhaps I was a little unsure at that moment, and not totally confident in my ability. But then, gently, a voice broke through my pause. It was the familiar inner sound of Lord Jesus Christ, the great spiritual teacher and master — the voice I have come to know at the level of the mind (through the experience of a mystical interior locution), where He and the Holy Spirit meet us all. For he was already aware of my need for inspiration in writing this book. With a touch of humour and tenderness, He said: 'Time to raise your pen'.
Making a Start
The words carried warmth and encouragement, and I could not help but smile as I took the hint. I opened my notebook and began to write: God is always loving. From there, the sentences flowed, as though the words had simply been waiting for me to say yes.
The very next day, I completed the first chapter. The final paragraph felt like I was writing a new Lord's Prayer: the words came through quite powerfully and smoothly to me. The words did not feel like mine alone — they came with a strength, as if entrusted to me by something greater.
More Inspiring Words Arrive
Weeks later, in early December, after finishing a few paragraphs that were to be included in Chapter Four, the beautiful voice of the Lord came again. Jesus told me the next chapter title. He said 'Joy is Free'. Through 'inspired writing' he also told me another saying: 'Do you need to feel wet in order to know that you are dry?' No, of course you don't; this would clearly make no sense. Basically, Jesus is saying that in order to know truth (i.e. an experience of divine joy) it isn't dependent on anything else, before hand, in order to know it. In other words, it is absurd to think that something 'not of the eternal' is required by you in order to know and experience the eternal. Just experience the eternal part of yourself (your true Self), that is all that is required. It is simple.
The truth of it sank deep into me. To experience divine joy, one needs no outer cause, no prior condition. The Self — our true essence — is already eternal. Joy is not earned, nor achieved, nor dependent on the fleeting; it simply is. All that is required is to remember it.
The Book Gradually Progresses
Month by month, the book unfolded in this way, like a dance between my pen and the quiet voice of inspiration. Sometimes it came through pacing and silence, sometimes through sudden clarity, sometimes through the gentle nudge of Jesus Himself reminding me to continue. Each page felt like a step deeper into remembrance. Sometimes I would have a fresh look at the book and make changes; reposition the order of the chapters to make it read better. Chapter One became Chapter Three, for example.
Publishing the Book
At last, in May of 2022, the work was complete. I signed into the Kindle Direct Publishing platform, uploaded the manuscript of You Are Divine, and entrusted it to the world. Two days later, the book was live, to find the hearts that were ready for its message. It felt less like I had written a book, and more like I had been carried through the sacred task of letting a book be written.
The Cover Design
Designing the covers for my books is something I truly enjoy. I love the process of shaping each title visually — choosing fonts and typefaces, finding the right colour scheme, and bringing together all the little details into a single, cohesive design. Often, I begin by purchasing a licensed photographic image for the background, and from there I build outward, layering in the title, arranging the blurb, and balancing the elements until it feels complete. But for the cover of You are Divine, I created the background image using a composite of images I had taken myself, of roses and clouds. The symbolism was perfect for the subject matter of the book and I enjoyed putting it all together. It's a quiet but rewarding part of the creative journey, one that allows me to connect with the book in a different, visual way.
